As is known to all, the graphite has a sheet crystal structure and good lubrication performance like a molybdenum sulfide MOS2. It also has good electrical conductivity, thermal conductivity, wear resistance, pressure resistance, temperature resistance, (the temperature can be up to 450 degrees C) and chemical stability characteristics, so the graphite are widely used to manufacture various lubricants in the machinery industry.
The graphite used as a lubricant, we mainly make fine graphite particles distributed uniformly in the form stable colloidal matter in water, oil or other medium,we can directly adopt inunction, dip coating or spraying way to add the graphite lubrication to the parts which need be lubricated , it can also be added to a variety of lubricants in combination. It is in contact with the metal surface, not only to form a layer of solid lubrication film, but also to improve the wetting properties of the metal surface to other lubricants so as to maintain a long time the role of lubrication. In addition, due to the presence of very fine particles of graphite, it is easy to penetrate into the tight fit between the sliding or rotating parts to make a good lubrication effect.
The application of the graphite lubricants can receive the following efficacy:
1). The various locomotor mechanical parts after using the colloidal graphite lubricant, it can reduce wear, fever or burn and other phenomena and extend of the service life of the machine.
2) .The friction power loss is greatly reduced, and the work efficiency is improved.
3) Saving lubricating oil consumption: the lubricating oil consumption is greatly reduced, the use of up to 60% when we use the lubricating oil which has been added a small amount of colloform graphite lubricating oil.
4).It can make the surface quality of the machined parts increased, but also can improve the cutting speed and cutting tool life of more than 30% when we use a small amount of colloidal graphite lubricant in metal cutting.
5) All new machines, internal combustion engine cylinder and piston rod, crankshaft, etc.will appear wear phenomena when they are in the first set in motion , it will greatly reduce the initial serious wear phenomenon if we use the lubricant containing colloidal graphite .
6).The graphite lubricant can reduce the noise in mechanical failure and operation and save the maintenance cost.
7).It can avoid the formation of the pot scar when we add colloidal graphite in the boiler water and can make the original pot scar easily removed, it is conducive to the maintenance of the boiler.
